Lt. Gen. Anil Kapoor, AVSM, VSM, is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. The General Officer is an alumnus of the Defence Service Staff College and attended the prestigious Higher Command and National Defence College Courses, where he was awarded Master of Philosophy in National Strategy and Security. He was commissioned into the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering in Dec 1981. The General Officer was awarded with Gold Medal in the Degree Engineering Course and Commandant’s Gold Medal in Officers Radar Engineering Course for standing first. He was also awarded the ‘British Aerospace Trophy’ for standing first in Master of Engineering, Special Weapons Technology Course in Guided Missiles. The General Officer has distinguished himself on two United Nations Peace Keeping assignments. He has also served in an Indian Army training team abroad. The General Officer has been Director General of Information Systems and is presently the Director General of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers.

Mr. Mike Suffield joined the ACCA in August 2019 as Director of Professional Insights. Shri. E. Ravendiran, M.Sc. (Environmental Science), MPP (Public Policy), L.L.B. joined as Member Secretary of MPCB on 24th September, 2018. He is selected as an I.A.S. Officer in Year 2008. He has worked as Asstt. Collector at Arvi Sub Division, Wardha, CEO, Zilla Parishad, Akola, Sindhudurg, District Collector & District Magistrate, Sindhudurg, Commissioner Skills Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Navi Mumbai, CEO, Maharashtra State Skill Development Society, Maharashtra State Innovation Society, Member Secretary, Rest of Maharashtra State Development Board, Mumbai (Additional Charge). As a Member Secretary he is working in implementing rules under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. The Board is implementing various environmental laws in respect of water, air, solid wastes (such as municipal solid wastes, hazardous wastes, bio-medical waste, plastic wastes, etc.). He is attending various meetings, workshops and trainings related to Environment betterments. He has participated in the Exhibition on dispose of bio waste Expo 2019 between 5th to 12th May, 2019 at Las Vegas, United States.

Samit Aich

Samit Aich is currently the CEO of Small Scale Sustainable Infrastructure Development Fund (, an international organisation that focuses on building inclusive market systems to promote equitable economic and social development. He has over 25 years extensive experience in international development, management consulting and corporate sectors in India. Prior to joining S3IDF, Samit spent over 10 years with Greenpeace India, including nearly 8 years as its Executive Director and was instrumental in making the organization not just financially self-reliant but also a prominent environmental campaigning player in the country. He was a key member of Greenpeace International’s Global Leadership Team (GLT) in Amsterdam, the highest level strategic body within Greenpeace worldwide. He also sat on the International Steering Committee of the Global Initiative on Fiscal Transparency, hosted by the International Budget Partnership based in Washington, D.C. His earlier corporate work was associated with the Tata Group, Arvind Mills and Sify Technologies. Samit’s personal philanthropic activities include the Vice Presidency of the Welfare Association of Disabled in Society, an organization that works on issues of mental disability and also advising and volunteering for organizations working with the visually challenged, women’s entrepreneurship and care for senior citizens. He is associated with several prominent business schools as guest faculty and also conducts professional coaching and mentoring programs at the senior management level in the development sector. Samit holds an M.Sc in Environmental Sciences and MBA in Marketing. In addition, he has studied Strategic Management at the Harvard Business School in Cambridge, US.

Sanjay Bhatia, IAS

He has 33 years' experience in serving at various senior levels in Government of India and Government of Maharashtra. With a Master’s in Public EYE Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), Dr Varughese has experience of health systems in developed countries (UK), middle income (South Africa) and developing countries (India, Nepal, Bangladesh).

As Principal Secretary of Housing Department he wrote the Housing Policy for the state focusing on affordable housing. As ACS(Revenue) he has prepared the policy for renewal of leases, carried out re-organisation of sub-division and introduced the Suvarna Jayanti Rajaswa Abhiyan which has received tremendous response. Presently working as Chief Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra since 1st August, 2014.
