The Institute of Directors (IOD) has created a specialised wing called 'Directors Databank'. It is dedicated to serving the needs of Directors both Executive and Non-Executive, as well as Organisations from various sectors, including, Business Enterprises/Firms/Public & Private Sector/Government Agencies/NGO’s.

SEBI regulations and the Companies Act of 2013, mandatorily require listed companies and certain class of public companies to have a certain number portion of their board members as Independent Directors, including at least one woman Independent Director.

Yes, the application form can be submitted online by following the below mentioned given steps;

1. Login to https://iodglobal.com/directorsdatabank/sign_in
2. Click on Sign up as Director or Sign up as Corporate
3. Fill in the complete details, create your profile and upload your resume.
4. Please note, that once you submit all the details with your CV, you will get an acknowledgement mail with your temporary user id & password. Once the committee approves the profile, we will send you the confirmation with the user id & password, which you may change on your first login.
5. Please do not share your user ID and password with anyone. This ID and password may be used by you to edit/modify/update your profile at any time.

Once you register online, the application goes to the Expert Committee for review (it may take up to 2 weeks). Once the application is approved by the Expert Committee, you will be officially empanelled in the Directors Databank and will receive an email containing the Login Details.

Yes, you can regularly update your profile by logging into your account with your registered user id and password.

For Corporates: Yes, there is a professional fee to access the profile of prospective candidates under different categories.
